The One Piece TCG Market in October 2026 — Monthly Report

·12 min read·OPMT Team

This is the fifth edition of our monthly market report. It uses the same data and the same filters as September's, with one addition: from this month on, promos are reported separately from the main sets, the same way we already treat EB02, and we show the numbers both ways. October is why: we started pricing tournament promos, and they are worth almost twice as much as every main set combined. Meanwhile, prices fell, and they fell more than in September.

Two scenarios: −9.1% for the main sets, −7.7% with promos

On 18 October we started tracking tournament promos. Most of them are years old, so in the index each one counts from the day it was first handed out at an official event, not from the day we started tracking it. We have no prices from before 18 October, so until then each card is held at its first tracked price. That part is an estimate, and it never counts towards a percentage.

Main sets€276,643€251,194−9.2%−9.1%
With promos€746,160€736,974−1.2%−7.7%

By 31 October, promos made up €485,780 of the €736,974 total, or 66%. Use the like-for-like column to compare the two. The with-promos raw change looks small because €467,426 of its 1 October value is that flat estimate. Our index chart opens on the main sets, and you can switch to include promos.

  • Most promo value entered well before October. The two biggest days were 15 August (+€89,793, the first Season 1 Finals tournament) and 4 September (+€66,570, the Flame-Flame Fruit Coliseum at BCG Fest Utrecht). Those totals rest on very few asks: a Luffy P-099 at about €38,000 and a Nami OP08-106 at €34,995 in August, and a Lucy OP15-002 at €30,000 and a Rebecca OP15-039 at €22,000 in September.
  • Two asks were too high even for the index. A Zoro trophy card at €175,000 and a Yamato at €100,000 are above its €50,000 limit for plausible prices, so neither is counted.

The main sets: −9.1%, and the typical card fell −5.3%

For card-level numbers we add up the cheapest listed NM English copy of each card with a price on both 1 and 31 October. Our main view is the main sets without EB02. Every scenario is below, so you can see how little each exclusion changes it:

The promo rows here are only the older, cheap promos already priced on 1 October, which is why they hardly change the result. The tournament promos have their own section below. "Liquid" means worth at least €5, with a price on 20 or more days. In September the median liquid card (with EB02) was −2.9%, with 181 up and 467 down.

  • 3,177 main-set cards were "unchanged", and their median price is €0.02. These are bulk commons at the CardMarket floor, not stable assets.
  • 97 main-set cards priced above €500 hold 85% of their value, so a few listings can move the total. One did: the SSP Luffy EB04-061 from OP17 packs ended the month on a €6,600 listing, but was asking €11,000 on 1 November and €6,600 again on the 2nd. At €11,000 the main view would be −7.1%.

The real October: 58 gainers, 237 losers

A genuine move needs at least 25 priced days, a move of at least 12%, an intra-month range under 2.5× the net move, and a starting price close to the card's September median. In the main sets, including EB02, that gave 59 gainers and 240 losers. Checking the top of each list by hand removed one gainer (Luffy PRB02-005, which bounced between €6.50 and €14) and three losers: EB04-061 above, Mary Geoise OP05-097, which fell only in the last three days, and Nami EB02-017, covered in the EB02 section. That leaves 58 against 237, about 4.1 losers for every gainer. September was 2.8 and August was 4.6. With promos, the count is 64 against 254.

The gainers that rose steadily on real volume:

  • Silvers Rayleigh OP12-001 (Leader alt art): €15.68 → €22, +40%, 154 copies sold.
  • Buggy OP09-042 (Leader alt art): €20.57 → €29.50, +43%, 122 sold. It rose in steps through the whole second half of the month.
  • Trafalgar Law OP14-009 (alt art): €7.50 → €13.90, +85%, 137 sold, a step on 11 October that held. Luffy OP14-013 (alt art, €7.99 → €12.50, 124 sold) came from the same set.
  • Lucky.Roux PRB02-003 (alt art): €6.99 → €22, +215%, 80 sold. This is the largest move on the list and the newest: it was still €10 on 26 October, so treat it with care.

The losers are mostly one set. Seven of the eight most-traded genuine losers are OP17 cards, led by Edward.Newgate OP17-040 (Treasure Rare): €47 → €33.99, −28%, on 331 copies, and Loki OP17-119 (SEC): €24 → €13, −46%, on 329. The exception worth noting is Marshall.D.Teach OP16-119 (SEC): €24 → €19.99, −17%, on 313 copies. Last month its rise was the most encouraging sign in the report. It did not hold.

The noise test, October edition

Main sets only, for every card priced on at least 20 days:

The pattern is the same for the third month running. The higher the price, the less the month-end number tells you, and more than a quarter of €500+ cards swung over three times their net change.

Set-by-set

Median card is what a typical liquid card in the set did. Set value is the total, which one chase card can swing. Versions are credited to the set whose packs contain them. Sets need at least eight liquid cards to be listed. Promos are not in this table, and EB05 has its own section below, because it had no prices on 1 October.

What each set was actually doing

OP17: not one liquid card rose. All 47 fell, with a −23.1% median. Every tier was down, from Manga rares (−18.8%) to Leader alt arts (−28.4%), and this happened on the heaviest volume in the game: 19.2% of main-set card trades, or 17.0% counting promos. The set's −39.5% value drop overstates things, because it includes the €6,600 listing above. At €11,000 it would be −23.5%, right in line with the median. The other SSP, Rocks.D.Xebec OP17-118, went €6,998 → €5,499 by 26 October and then to a €3,600 listing on the last day, with €4,500 back on 2 November. The OP17 box fell €239 → €201, and its case fell €3,090 → €2,675.

OP16's turn did not last (−8.6%, 3 up / 24 down). Last month we called its flat −2.0% the turn we were waiting for, and said one month was not a trend. We were right to be cautious. Volume also halved, from 8,423 copies to 4,296. The median stopped holding at the same time as buyers stepped back, which is a poor combination.

OP15 (−7.4%, 7 up / 33 down) did not flatten either, although its volume also fell, from 7,301 to 4,718. Its SEC cards were one bright spot at +12.5%. The SPs (−12.8%) did most of the damage.

The closest thing to strength was in the middle. OP14 (−0.9%), EB03 (−0.8%), OP12 (−0.1%), PRB02 (0.0%), OP10 (0.0%) and OP04 (0.0%) all held roughly flat. EB03 was September's weakest set, so this is a real change for it. OP14 supplied several of the month's best clean gainers, and PRB02 had 20 cards up.

Median and value disagreed in both directions again. OP11's typical card fell −10.3% while its value rose +1.4%, and OP05 shows the same gap (−9.4% against −0.6%). PRB01 is the reverse, at a −1.1% median and −8.7% value, largely because its Manga OP05-119 Luffy went €12,500 → €10,500. OP09's −13.8% is mostly its Manga Roger OP09-118, which went €12,500 → €10,000 after a low of €7,999.

EB02: slower, but still falling

EB02's median card was only −0.8%, but its value fell −8.6%, because the damage was at the top. Its 26 measurable SSPs posted a −2.3% median, with 4 up and 16 down, a much milder result than September's −10.5%. The losses still landed on the biggest cards: the SSP Luffy OP05-060 went €8,200 → €5,800 on 3 sales, and the SSP Perona OP06-021 went €1,600 → €890 on 2 sales. These are very thin markets, so we would not read much into any single price.

The Nami alt art EB02-017 shows how wide the gaps can get. Its cheapest copy sat at €4.87 from 9 to 28 October and sold on the 29th, and a €20 copy ended the month before selling too. These were real listings, so they count in the figures above: the card shows as €79.90 → €20, −75%. But most of its 50 copies sold in October went for around €90, and the cheapest copy was back at €80 on 2 November. It is not a card that lost three quarters of its value, which is why we left it off the genuine losers list. It is also why checking listings is worth it, because a copy priced like that can stay up for weeks.

Tournament promos: their own market

These cards make up most of the index with promos. They are not new, but this is the first month we can see their prices, so we measure them from 19 October, the first full day after the import, to 31 October. Twelve days is too short to say much, so this is a starting point.

GroupCards19 Oct → 31 OctChangeMedian cardUp / Down
Special Tournament Promos152€364,877 → €359,382−1.5%0.0%12 / 49

All promos1,958€389,681 → €383,616−1.6%0.0%48 / 161

Medians and up/down use cards worth at least €5, with a price on 8 or more days. Against the main sets, promos look calm, but that says more about how rarely they trade than about their strength. Most of these prices simply did not change, and when they moved, it was usually down.

  • A very concentrated group. By 31 October, Special Tournament Promos alone were about €453,000 of the index. 63 of the 152 cards measured here are priced at €500 or more and hold 97% of the group's value. The median of all 189 priced cards is €300, and the ten priciest hold 54% of the value.
  • Very few sales. We detected 512 copies sold across 98 of them between the import and 2 November, and only 479 in October. That compares with 72,034 card copies in the main sets. The biggest price falls came on almost no sales: the Perona OP01-077 fell €2,000 → €1,200 with none detected, and the Sakazuki OP02-099 fell €3,799 → €2,999 with none.
  • Read a promo price as an ask. These are often the only copy listed, so the price tells you what one seller wants, not what the market would pay.

EB05 Heroines Edition Vol.2: launched on 30 October

EB05 had only two days in October, so this is a first look and not a verdict. It adds 100 tracked card versions, including seven alt-art Leaders and eight SPs, many of them reprints of older cards. By 3 November, 99 of them had prices, for a total of €6,025.

  • Eleven cards hold 88% of the value. The Kentaro Yabuki foil-stamped Nami at €1,700 is the highest price, but it has been on the market for only a few days. The Robin Manga EB05-010 is €950, the SP Hancock ST17-004 is €650 and the Shirahoshi Manga EB05-014 is €550.
  • Sealed fell before the set was even out. The box went from €240 on 21 October to €190 on release day and €178 on 2 November, a −26% move in twelve days.
  • Pull rates are estimates. Bandai has not published any for EB05. Using our current estimates and today's asks, a box is worth very roughly €137 in hits against its €178 price. Launch-week asks move quickly, so this could look different in a month.

OP17's typical card lost nearly a quarter of its value in its second month. Early asks on a new set have been a poor guide to where prices settle, as we found in our release-timing study.

Every set makes the market bigger, and each one matters less

EB05 raised the question of how much a new set really changes the market. A new set always adds to the total, because its cards did not exist before. But the total it is added to keeps growing, so the same size of set counts for less each time. The table below takes every main booster set in release order, at today's prices, and shows how much it adds to everything released before it. Promos are not included, and EB02 is shown but left out of the running total, as in our other studies.

Grouped by release year, the typical share a new set adds has dropped every year: 19.6% in 2023, 9.2% in 2024, 5.2% in 2025 and 2.8% in 2026 (medians, without EB02). EB05's 2.9% is right on that line. The other scenarios tell the same story: with EB02 in the running total, EB05 adds 2.3%, and measured against the whole index with promos, only 0.8%.

The pattern is a tendency, not a rule. A single set can still break it, and the table shows how: OP05, PRB01, OP09, OP11 and OP13 each added far more than their neighbours, largely through a handful of very expensive chase cards. The euro value of new sets is not shrinking. OP15 and OP16 are worth about €3,000 each and OP17 €17,394. What is growing is the total they are measured against.

A snapshot at today's prices has one obvious weakness: older sets have had years to appreciate, which makes them look bigger than they were at launch. So we also measured every launch our index has seen live, using the value on the first day most of the set was priced:

SetReleasedValue at launchMain sets before itAddedValue today
OP153 Apr 2026€3,621€119,8013.0%€3,407
OP1612 Jun 2026€4,175€206,3832.0%€2,825

EB0530 Oct 2026€6,025€251,2282.4%€6,025

Three of the four added 2–3%. OP17 is the exception, and two cards explain it: on 2 September its two SSPs were asking €13,500 and €10,000, which is 68% of the set's value. Without them, OP17 would have added about 4%. And that step did not last. Two months later the set is worth half its launch value. Four launches are a small sample, but they do show how little of the recent growth came from new sets: since April, main-set value rose by about €138,000, and the sets released in that time account for about €30,000 of it, or 22%. The rest came from cards that were already in the catalogue, including older versions that got their first price.

For collectors, this has a simple meaning. A new release is a big event for its own cards, but it is becoming a small event for the market as a whole. Every future set will be added to an even larger base, and most of what moves the total will be cards that already exist.

Rarity tiers: alt arts gave back their pause

Grouped by our own rarity tags, using liquid cards that pass the boundary check, excluding EB02 and promos:

Alt arts went from −2.0% in September to −6.3%. In September we said that a second month like August's −7.5% would make this a trend. October is close enough: with 328 cards and three losers for every gainer, this is broad weakness, not a few bad cards. SPs stayed weak at −5.8%. Leader alt arts held up better again, although more than three of them fell for each one that rose.

The meta tax continued, more mildly. Cards with our TOP16 tournament tag had a median of −6.3% (19 up, 57 down), against −5.0% for everything else.

Sealed held up

Across 180 sealed products, value went €137,093 → €136,496 (−0.4%), with 52 up and 69 down. That is far better than singles, though the average hides large moves on both sides. Older mid-era boxes kept doing best: OP04 Kingdoms of Intrigue +10.8% (€260 → €288) and OP03 Pillars of Strength +10.0% (€300 → €330). The weakest were the two newest sets (OP17 box −15.9%, EB05 box −11.6%), plus OP09's box at −14.8% and the Memorial Collection case at −13.1% (€11,490 → €9,990). The OP01 Romance Dawn box fell another −10.5% (€950 → €850).

Where the volume was

We detected about 86,922 copies sold across 2,402 products in October, up from 77,814 in September. About 2,300 of those copies were on products we only began tracking in October, so the comparable rise is about 9%. Cards made up 81,491 copies: 72,034 in the main sets (1,466 versions) and 9,457 in promos (765 versions). The promo copies are almost all cheap promos. Tournament promos were only 479.

By set, as a share of main-set card trades: OP17 19.2%, OP15 6.5%, PRB01 6.4%, OP14 6.4%, OP16 6.0%, OP13 5.0%. Counting promos, OP17 is 17.0%. Either way that is well spread out compared with September, when OP17 alone was 23.6% and OP16 and OP15 were over 10% each. Older sets traded more: OP01 went from 1,262 to 1,892 copies, OP02 from 978 to 1,633 and OP03 from 803 to 1,486. But they also fell, so this was not the buying pressure we hoped for last month. The most-traded cards were Newgate OP17-040 (331 copies), Loki OP17-119 (329), and Teach OP16-119 (313). Ten of the top twelve were OP17 cards, and eleven of the twelve fell.

Last month's watch list, scored

  • "Is OP16's turn real?" No. The median went from −2.0% to −8.6%, and volume halved.
  • "OP15 is next in line." It did not flatten. Median −7.4%, against −6.3% in September.
  • "OP17's Manga rares: expect them to keep drifting down." Correct, at −18.8%. Every other OP17 tier fell as well.
  • "EB02 SSPs: if October looks the same, the rally is over." It looked milder: −2.3% median, 16 of 26 down. That is still a decline, but not a repeat of September.
  • "SP tier versus reprints." Still weak, at −5.8%. EB05 has just reprinted more older cards as SPs, so this stays on the list.

What we excluded

Nami OP01-016 (alt art) is removed from every figure in this report. Its cheapest listing showed €3.65 from 9 to 28 October, against a normal level near €375, and it was back at about €360 by 2 November. We believe this was a different printing listed under this version, so it says nothing about the card's price. Royal Blood Booster Box, raw +52%: it was €115 for one day, 1 October, and €175 before and after, so it did not gain anything. A Fist of Divine Speed Booster Box, raw +33%: it sat at €300 all month and only changed to €400 on the last day, so we are waiting to see whether that holds. Promos priced only after 1 October are not in the 1–31 October scenarios, and are measured from 19 October in their own section. On our index chart, EB05 is marked on its 30 October release date. With promos included, the days large groups of tournament promos were first handed out have their own markers.

What to watch in November

  • Does OP17 find a floor? Zero up out of 47 can't continue for long, but sealed is still falling. Look for the median to slow while volume stays high.
  • EB05's first full month. Recent sets have fallen steadily after launch. Watch the Yabuki Nami and the Manga rares, where the first prices are thinnest.
  • Alt arts. After −7.5%, −2.0% and −6.3%, a fourth bad month would remove any doubt.
  • The mid-era sets. OP14, EB03, OP12 and PRB02 were the steadiest part of the market. A second flat month would mark them as where buyers are going.
  • Tournament promos. November will be their first full month. Watch whether the prices start to trade, or whether the asks just slowly come down.

Methodology: prices are the cheapest listed NM English copy on CardMarket per card version. Headline figures compare 1 October to 31 October 2026 across the 4,274 main-set cards without EB02 with data at both endpoints. "Liquid" cards are those starting at or above €5 with at least 20 priced days. A genuine move needs at least 25 priced days, a move of at least 12%, an intra-month range under 2.5× the net move, and a starting price within −20%/+25% of the previous month's median. Set values in the release table use 2 November prices (EB05: 3 November) and include each version under the set whose packs contain it, with reprints in the set that reprinted them. The running total also includes starter decks, about €1,500 in all, and excludes promos. Main sets are the booster sets and starter decks; every other product, including Special Tournament Promos, counts as a promo. Index history for September and October was recalculated from each day's final prices, so some daily figures differ slightly from what was shown at the time. In the with-promos index, tournament promos count from the first date they were handed out, read from the official event pages, at their first tracked price until 18 October 2026 or later. Sold figures are copies detected by our sale tracking and are estimates. EB05 pull rates are our own estimates; Bandai has not published official rates.
